What We Believe
By Dave McLaughlin, CEO & Co-Founder of Vsnap
Last week, I was on a panel called Top Tools For Small Businesses, and someone asked the panelists how we prioritize among all the various features we could build into our products. My answer was that Vsnap is a belief-based company, and our product is the expression of these values.
As a followup to that question, I’m sharing our list of non-negotiables here. This list might evolve over time. It’s certainly possible we’ve left something out. Nonetheless, it really embodies why we are pouring our hearts into creating this movement, and I think it captures the spirit and the intent and the cultures of the businesses that use Vsnap to engage their customers and prospects every day.
1. Be human.
No masks, no jargon. Smile. Breathe. Say what you love.
2. Be a doer.
Action is character. Look for the action that creates the most impact. Then do it.
3. Only help.
That has to be your intent. Never just add noise. Please.
4. Make people feel special.
Prize people. They will remember how you make them feel.
5. Protect simplicity.
And it will protect you.
I hope people find these values helpful in terms of understanding Vsnap, and how to use it. I would love people’s reactions about these principles, and I’d love to know how you define the beliefs of your companies. I hope you’ll add those thoughts in the comments. Thanks in advance!
