Update: Thumbnails, analytics, & vsnaps on iOS devices
Happy December, Vsnappers!

Thumbnails in notification emails

A thumbnail of your signature vsnap will now be displayed in recipient notification emails like the one above. This will help verify your identity and motivate the receiver to watch the vsnap. What’s a signature vsnap? It’s a public video viewable to anyone that clicks on your profile. You can record a special signature vsnap or use one you’ve already recorded by clicking the “Set as signature” button below the vsnap (as shown in the picture below). Note that only the video will be shown, not any attachments you may have included.

Analytics

We’ve added some light analytics to each of your sent vsnaps. You can now see how many users you’ve shared a vsnap with, how many times it’s been viewed (one view is logged per each email address), and whether or not your recipients have opened or clicked on any of the attachments. The recipient can’t see any of the detailed information that’s shown in the picture above, but they can see total number of shares, views, and tweets.
If you’ve got any questions about the updates to the site or pie, please let me know. Comment below, send me an email/vsnap, or tweet us.
See you soon,
Trish Fontanilla, Community Manager at Vsnap
